Piero Ferrari is the second and only living son of Enzo Ferrari, vice-chairman of Ferrari N.V. and its largest individual shareholder at roughly 10.5% — a stake worth well over $8B. He also chairs HPE COXA, the Modena engineering firm, and holds a significant position in the yacht builder Ferretti Group. He is a fixture of the Formula One paddock and lives near Maranello.
I-RRED is a Bombardier Challenger 3500 and a milestone airframe: Bombardier announced on 27 July 2026 that it was the 200th Challenger 3500 delivered, less than four years after the type entered service, and said the jet would carry Mr. Ferrari to Formula One races and business engagements. It first flew on 12 December 2025 as C-GICP and was ferried Montreal–Keflavik–Milan Linate on 26-27 July 2026 on its delivery flight. It is managed by Aliserio, the Italian operator based at Linate and Turin Caselle, which puts Linate as the working base rather than Bologna despite Maranello being the home address. Expect the F1 calendar — Nice for Monaco, Barcelona, Luton for Silverstone — plus Bologna and Geneva shuttles.
