Rich Barton

Rich Barton, born 1967, built Expedia inside Microsoft in 1994, launched it in 1996, spun it out and ran it as chief executive through the 1999 IPO until 2003. He co-founded Zillow with Lloyd Frink in December 2004, launched it in 2006, ran it to 2010, came back as CEO in 2019 and handed off in August 2024 to become co-executive chairman with Frink. He also founded Glassdoor and the travel app Trover, which Expedia bought back in 2016. He has been a Netflix director since 2002 and sits on the Qurate Retail board. Forbes first called him a billionaire in February 2020; current estimates range from about $1B to $2B depending on whose method you take.

The Boeing Field connection is the concrete one.
