Gulfstream G500
VP-CYX · ICAO: 40029A · Heavy jet

Jinan Yuxiao Group Co. is a Shandong-headquartered mining company working in zirconium, titanium, rare earths and graphite. Wu Tao is its executive director and ultimate controller, and he has taken the group's money into mining projects in Mozambique and Australia.
The Australian investment is why the name is known outside China. Yuxiao Fund, a Singapore-registered vehicle whose sole shareholder is Wu Tao's son Wu Yuxiao, built a stake in the ASX-listed rare-earths company Northern Minerals and pushed to remove its chairman. In June 2024 the Australian treasurer ordered Yuxiao Fund and associated Chinese investors to sell down, on national-interest grounds — one of the more visible uses of Australia's foreign-investment powers against a critical-minerals holding.
VP-CYX is a Gulfstream G500, hex 40029A, on the Bermudian register — a common arrangement for Chinese and other Asian owners who want a civil registry outside the mainland. Spotter captions give the operator as Yuxiao Group. There is no public filing naming the company as owner, so this rests on the caption rather than a registry document.
Jinan Yaoqiang is the group's home airport by headquarters rather than by observation, and the aircraft is polled by registration since VP- tails are outside the hex-direct sweep.

We collect that public data from adsb.lol and ADSB.fi, two open flight-tracking networks. News outlets and university researchers use the same kind of data. Our methodology page explains how it works.
