Carlos Slim
Carlos Slim's Gulfstream G650, tail XA-CLR, was tracked departing Toluca International Airport just before sunset on June 26, touching down 12 minutes later at Aeroclub Valle de Bravo. The aircraft climbed to 26,000 feet at a brisk 413 knots—a quick hop that tracks directly to the lake town's private airstrip.
If Carlos Slim was aboard, he would arrive at his Valle de Bravo property the same month he made headlines for his annual press conference in Mexico City. Per a Bloomberg report on May 26, Slim announced plans to invest $5 billion this year while ruling out new ventures with Pemex. He went further at the event, calling his own company's joint deepwater gas project with Pemex "irrational," as covered by Baird Maritime. The short flight suggests a quiet weekend after a period of high-profile business declarations.
This is not Slim's first private movement in recent weeks: his secondary Gulfstream G550, XA-ATL, was tracked to Punta Cana in early May for the Encuentro Empresarial Padres e Hijos, per Celebplanes. The brief Valle de Bravo hop, however, fits a different pattern—a personal retreat to the lakeside getaway, away from the boardrooms and press conferences.
