General Electric's HondaJet HA-420 (registration N120GE) was tracked flying from Liberty-Casey County Airport in Kentucky to a touchdown near Auburn, Alabama on June 23, a journey of just over an hour. The aircraft, operated by the aerospace giant, departed at 11:35 UTC and landed at approximately 12:40 UTC after reaching 37,000 feet.
If Chief Executive Larry Culp was aboard, the visit would come amid GE Aerospace's continued emphasis on expanding production capacity. In a recent interview with Valor International, Culp warned that supply-chain bottlenecks would persist through the decade and highlighted the company's investment in facilities, including the expansion of its Celma operation in Brazil. Auburn is home to a key GE Aerospace plant that produces components for LEAP engines, making it a logical stop for a CEO focused on ramping output.
The flight adds to a pattern of short trips from the company's Cincinnati base to operational sites across the eastern United States. Previous stops this month included visits near Boston, Detroit, and upstate New York, suggesting a hands-on review of the company's manufacturing network as it navigates elevated oil prices and softer flight demand.
