Gulfstream G550 VT-BRS was tracked departing Juhu Aerodrome on June 23 and arriving at Nashik International Airport after a 32-minute flight at 13,025 feet. The aircraft's movement follows a pattern of domestic hops earlier in the month between Delhi, Mumbai, and Coimbatore.
If Kumar Mangalam Birla was aboard, the trip would land the Aditya Birla Group chairman in Nashik the same week his group's financial services arm, Aditya Birla Capital, hit a record high and crossed the ₹1 lakh crore market cap after a ₹4,000 crore fundraise, per Fortune India. The capital raise, backed by promoter Grasim and the International Finance Corporation, was described by Birla as reinforcing the group's technology-led execution in financial services.
The landing also follows a busy June for the aircraft, which earlier shuttled between Mumbai and London, and Mumbai and Delhi. Should Kumar Mangalam Birla have been on the flight, the short journey to Nashik — home to several group cement and retail operations — would fit a broader schedule of overseeing the conglomerate's sprawling manufacturing and financial interests across India.
