PNC Financial flies to Pittsburgh the week of its FirstBank integration
The bank's Global 5000 made a brief local hop after a day of cross-country travel tied to its Colorado acquisition.

PNC Financial flew its Bombardier Global 5000, tail N513DL, from Allegheny County Airport to Allegheny County Airport on May 12, 2026 — a six-minute, 1,100-foot hop that appears to be a repositioning or maintenance flight after a day that included a trip from Georgia to Philadelphia and back to Pittsburgh.
The same week, PNC Financial is deep in the integration of FirstBank Holding, the Colorado-based lender it acquired for $4.1 billion in January. Per an American Banker report on April 15, CEO Bill Demchak called 2026 "off to a great start" after the deal boosted first-quarter revenue to $6.2 billion. The conversion of FirstBank's systems is slated for June, per WPXI, and CFO Rob Reilly said at a Bank of America conference in February that the acquisition is "shaping up better than expected."
The flight pattern suggests PNC Financial's fleet is busy: the Global 5000 flew to Miami on May 8 and returned May 10, and made a New York-area trip on May 11. The brief local hop on May 12 likely closed out a travel day for the bank's executives as they manage a coast-to-coast expansion that Demchak has vowed will bring "the fight" to every market, per American Banker.
