A Saudi Aramco-operated Boeing 737-8AL, tail number N801XA, was tracked on a short 11-minute flight from Ras Tanajib Airport (OETN) to a location near Ras Tanura on June 27. The aircraft flew at just 3,675 feet, consistent with a shuttle between company facilities along Saudi Arabia's eastern coast.
If Saudi Aramco officials were aboard, the timing would place them at Ras Tanura the same week the company resumed crude loading at the terminal after a four-month halt, as reported by the Economic Times and Al Bawaba. Two Very Large Crude Carriers were seen taking on oil at the port, marking a significant step in restoring Gulf export capacity following the easing of tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
Saudi Aramco's aviation division, operated through subsidiary Aloula Aviation, manages a fleet of over 40 aircraft used primarily for employee transport to remote oil fields and executive travel. The company maintains its own airports at key industrial sites, including Ras Tanura and Abqaiq, making such short-hop flights a routine part of logistics for the world's largest oil producer.
