State Farm
State Farm’s Dassault Falcon 900EX, tail N22SF, was tracked flying from Barcelona-El Prat to University of Illinois Willard Airport on June 28, an 8-hour 43-minute crossing at up to 47,025 feet. The aircraft touched down in east-central Illinois around 10 a.m. local time, roughly 50 miles from State Farm’s Bloomington headquarters.
If aboard, State Farm would arrive the same week agent compensation remains a flashpoint. Per WGLT on June 26, the company slowed some contract changes—restoring limited deferred compensation through 2031—but has not reversed the cancellation of health insurance for independent contractors. At the same time, CEO Jon Farney told an S&P Global Insurance conference in early June that State Farm is “looking for proof†before expanding in New York following auto insurance reforms, per Insurance Journal. A return to home base during this stretch would suggest senior leadership is staying close to the twin tracks of agent negotiations and regulatory strategy.
The Barcelona departure fits a pattern in State Farm’s recent flight history. N22SF flew from Bloomington to the Spanish coast on June 17, spent roughly a week there, and returned via the Midwest. A second Falcon in the four-aircraft fleet shuttled between Newark and Bloomington earlier in June, per celebplanes tracking. If Michael Tipsord or other top executives were aboard, the itinerary would suggest a working trip bookended by pressing domestic business.
