Verizon’s Gulfstream G550, tail N212VZ, was tracked on a 42-minute hop from Neil Armstrong Airport (KAXV) to Aurora Municipal Airport (KARR) on June 24, 2026. The aircraft touched down just before 5 p.m. local time after a short flight from Ohio.
If Verizon leadership was aboard, the arrival would come the same week the carrier unveiled a sweeping set of customer-facing changes — including the “Simplicity” flat-rate plan, the “Verizon One” converged home-and-mobile plan, and the elimination of activation and upgrade fees for loyalty program members, as reported by The Verge and Light Reading. The launch represents the latest phase of CEO Dan Schulman’s transformation strategy, which Verizon said in its Q1 2026 earnings release is “gaining momentum.” Aurora is roughly 40 miles from Chicago, a Midwest hub for corporate and consumer events.
The Ohio departure is unusual; N212VZ’s recent flights have largely centered on Chicago-area airports (KARR, KDPA) and visits to the carrier’s major hubs like KIAD and KMIA. The quick turnaround from Ohio to Illinois, following a pattern of short hops, suggests a tight schedule — one that, if tied to the plan rollout, would put Verizon representatives close to a major media and retail market during a pivotal product launch week.
