Ron Fowler is a San Diego businessman who founded Liquid Investments, one of the largest beer and beverage distributors in the United States with annual sales over $300M. In August 2012 he led the ownership group that bought the San Diego Padres for $800M, serving as executive chairman and MLB control person; he handed the chairman role to Peter Seidler in November 2020, stayed on as vice chairman through 2022, and is now effectively chairman emeritus. He and his wife Alexis gave $25M to San Diego State's Fowler College of Business.
